Japanese synth, country music, free jazz, Scott Walker, Bruce Lee, and westerns’ music scores – all of that has inspired Kid Fourteen for his new record.

Kid Fourteen wrote the music for his latest album “A Brief Emotional Dragon” during his last few months in Beirut – in what he considers to be the darkest period of his life.

After settling down in Paris, he wrote all the lyrics and recorded all the vocal lines. Anthony Sahyoun (Kinematik, NP) produced and mixed the album at Tunefork Studios in Beirut.

“A Brief Emotional Dragon” is inspired by Japanese synth, country music, free jazz, Scott Walker, Bruce Lee, and westerns’ music scores.

This is Kid Fourteen’s survival statement, his autobiography in all its abstraction – and “Cowboy Lonely” is by far one of the most notable tracks on the album.
